AT a meeting of Ross Rotary Club at the Chase Hotel on June 4, president Richard Williams presented the 2018 ROSCAR acting awards to members of the Ross-on-Wye based X-entricity Youth Theatre Group. These ROSCAR awards were judged on the November 2017 performance of Priscilla Queen of the Desert and were presented to:
Best Actor: Lucas Abbott (Tick/Mitzi).
Best Actress: Charlotte Green (Diva).
Best Support Actor: Matt Jones (Young Bernadette).
Best Support Actress: Beth Smith (Cynthia).
X-entricity producer, Jane Hewson also attended the ROSCAR presentation and graciously accepted a donation from the club to support of the work of the charity. Jane thanked Ross Rotary Club for all their support to X-entricity both financially and by attendance at their performances.
All the ROSCAR winners were equally delighted with their awards and they individually described and explained what being part of X-entricity has meant to them irrespective of whether they had long term ambitions in the performance arts or not. It was a very uplifting and enjoyable evening for everyone who attended.
