A TOTAL of 56 golf enthusiasts swung by Burghill Golf Club on April 11 to support national charity, Breast Cancer Haven at their golf day event.

Hosted by the Breast Cancer Haven, Hereford Fundraising Committee, the 'networking power day' of golf received great support from local businesses such as Gerry Doverman, Complete Business Solutions and Cotswold Hereford Mini.

Businesses sponsored holes, donated prizes and submitted teams for the 18-hole golf tournament. Participants also enjoyed a meal, raffle and auction at the end of the day.

The day was a 'tee-riffic' success and raised £4,000 for Breast Cancer Haven, Hereford.

Owner of Burghill Golf Club Martin Ellis said 'the event was very well attended and a huge success for Breast Cancer Haven. We're looking forward to hosting another Golf Day for the charity next year'.

Helen Nenaditch, committee fundraiser for Breast Cancer Haven, Hereford said 'Thank you to all of the businesses, teams and members of Burghill Golf Club who made the day such a special event. Your generous support today has helped to raise enough money for Breast Cancer Haven to provide free personalised programmes of care to more women affected by breast cancer.'

Breast Cancer Haven is a national charity that supports women through their breast cancer treatment.
