THERE is no rule book for raising a family and sometimes it can be overwhelming, particularly if you are going through difficult times. Home-Start Herefordshire can help you and your family.

Home-Start is a unique service for families, recruiting and training volunteers to support parents with children at home, six new volunteers have just completed the preparation course and are looking forward to helping a family in the county.

When you volunteer for HSH, you'll be a lifeline for a family: helping them get back on their feet and develop the skills they need to cope in the future.

Our popular accredited Volunteer preparation courses are held three times a year, with every course running for 40 hours over 10 weeks.

Courses are designed to tie in with the school day and volunteers are asked to attend just once a week. At the end of our courses 100% of the volunteers said they would recommend the course to a friend, and what's more it carries a level 2 Accreditation. This qualification combined with the experience gained working with us, can act as a wonderful stepping stone into future careers if that's what you are after, as well as being a wonderful rewarding opportunity to give something to family in need in your community.

Male and female adults of all aged who are parents or have experience with young children or teenagers are very welcome to join our dedicated team here at Home-Start Herefordshire

The next course starts on January 25 from 9.20am - 2.45pm. Please call 01432 371212 for more details.
