THANKS to generous funding from Severn Waste, the Rowlands Trust, the Big Lottery, donations and local fundraising events such as a Duck Race and a Soup and Pud evening, Eardisland Village Hall finally has a toilet block suitable for the 21st century!
As the hall is the former village school, the old brick and tile block, though it had its charm, was cold, damp, hard to clean and generally tired.
Now, with help from local firms Grange Heating and JS Woodfield, the spaces have been insulated, lined and totally refitted.
The hall management committee hope this will be the first in a number of improvements designed to make the hall more user-friendly and adaptable.
They are already planning the next moves for the New Year – keep an eye on the Eardisland Parish website (eardisland.org.uk) for January and February fund-raiser events!
