A Hereford bank is to shut its doors for six weeks, whilst undergoing a refresh.
The Hereford branch of HSBC will be closing temporarily whilst internal building work is carried, with state of the art cash machines being fitted.
The bank in High Town will close on Monday September 16, with a spokesperson for HSBC saying that they expect to welcome banking customers back on Monday October 28.
Lucy Bond, HSBC UK’s local director, said: “We continue to invest in our branch network to make our customers’ experience banking with us a good one.
“We are pleased that our Hereford branch is getting a refresh, with some painting, new signage and the installation of new state-of-the-art cash machines, which we are excited about.
“We have been talking to customers about the temporary closure for the last month, and while we are having the work done people can continue to use their nearest Post Office for day-to-day transactions, plus mobile and online banking is available 24/7 in addition to being able to call our contact centre”.
The bank added that they would be hosting ‘Community Pop Up events’ at the Post Office within WH Smith in Hereford, where members of staff will be on hand to support customers. The Pop Up service will run on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from September 23 to October 18.
HSBC customers will still have use of other banking branches, with Malvern being the closest location.
