A HEREFORD FOOTBALL club has announced a new sponsorship deal with a rural broadband company.

Westfields FC are partnering with Airband Community Internet for this season, with the company sponsoring all the club's youth teams, as well as several other aspects of the club.

Airband is an internet service provider which is bringing ultrafast fibre internet to several under served areas across Hereford and the Marches and is currently working on a new swathe of community led projects in smaller areas across its network.

The club held a launch for its new partnership on Thursday, September 1, where it premiered its new junior kits.

Chief executive, Andrew Morris, said "We are delighted to join in a partnership deal with broadband provider Airband and really appreciate the sponsorship that they have provided for all our junior teams to have new Macron sponsored kit for the coming season.

"Both Westfields FC and Airband share the same high core values in providing a service to the local community so it’s fantastic that we are able to partner with a progressive company."

Speaking on its new partnership with the club, head of sales at Airband Mark Trafford said: "This represents a great opportunity to support grass roots football in the city.

"Working with Sean Edwards and the commercial team at Westfields has been an absolute pleasure, they certainly do what it says on the tin and their dedication to Westfields is exemplary."
