TWO Herefordshire brothers have successfully relaunched an online prestige car business, thanks to what they say has been a rising demand for used luxury cars.
Alex and Joseph Catley, both from Hereford, have reignited the online company SellYourPrestigeCar.com, moving its base from London to Broad Street in Hereford.
The original business was started in London in 2015 when a gap in the market was identified by an ex-managing director of Autotrader.

The company had purchased and traded over 1000 cars before it was hit by the pandemic.

Since 2021, the company has been operating from Hereford but providing a luxury used car sales service to customers all over the country, and the small team led by Alex and Joseph is back busy and thriving.
According to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the used car market jumped 11.5 per cent in 2021 with more than 7.5million used cars changing hands across the UK.
Joseph Catley puts this down to the reduced production of new cars since the pandemic, the long wait times for new car deliveries and car buyers and sellers wanting better deals.

He said: "Over the past 10 years, we have seen a huge rising demand for prestige cars, such as BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Jaguar and Porsche.
"This has been both the result of the boom in SUVs and the desire for more luxury interiors.
"And as people like to change their cars more often these days, most used cars look very much brand new, at half the price. It’s no wonder this market is booming."

Situated in Broad Street in Hereford, SellYourPrestigeCar.com is an internet-driven business, offering a service for owners of specialised and prestige cars to sell their vehicles to a large and growing trusted dealer network.
Alex Catley said: "Our network includes main dealers, as well as most of the used specialized and prestige dealers throughout the UK.
"We work with hundreds of outlets which means we can normally get a better deal for the customer than they would find on their own."
