A SCAVENGER hunt for £1,000 will be taking place in Hereford next week.

The hunt is being held to help support four Herefordians taking part in the London Marathon on Sunday, October 3.

The National Federation of Demolition Contractors secured a limited number of places for runners, and from hundreds of applications to represent the trade association these four Herefordians were among those chosen.

Rhys Davies, Amy Howell, Dave Moore and Edward Williams were the four chosen to take part.

The four are running the marathon to raise money as they can for the Snowdon Trust.

The trust works to help people with disabilities achieve their goals in higher and further education.

With Herefordshire boasting more than a few fine colleges and academies it is only fitting that these runners should choose to support such a great cause.

Wye Valley Demolition and its sister company Warehouse701 are both part of the Wye Valley Group, the single largest waste recycling facility in Herefordshire.

They’re supporting these runners by holding the Grand Scavenger Hunt with a £1,000 cash prize. As well as a further £500 in cash prizes, plus (for the children’s scavenger hunt) £50 vouchers for Odeon Cinemas, Hobbycraft and Amazon.

Several huge shop-size jars of confectionary are also up for grabs.

Warehouse701 is focusing all its efforts over a whole week in order to support these four runners and the Snowdon Trust.

The scavanger hunt will take place between Monday 30th August and Sunday 5th September at Warehouse701, Fordshill Road, Rotherwas, Hereford, HR2 6NS. Tel: 01432 375510.
