WI - The Much Cowarne branch of the WI will meet at Stoke Lacy Village Hall at 7.30pm tomorrow (Friday). Louise Manning will give details of a history walk and a talk about Hill Farm at Fromes Hill . The evening’s competition will be for an ornament of a bird.
COFFEE MORNING - This Saturday, the coffee morning in Stoke Lacy Church will be hosted by the bell ringers from 10am until noon.
Everyone is welcome to call in for coffee, a cake and a chat. There will also be an opportunity for everyone to try bell-ringing for themselves, and the church tower will be open for visitors.
GARDEN PARTY - On August 19 there will be a garden party and mini-fete in the grounds of the church starting at 3pm and finishing with an informal evening praise at 5pm.
Some of the usual stalls will be there, including cakes, Ping Pong Panic, cream teas, brica- brac, fruit and vegetable produce, preserves and a plant sale. There will also be tea, cakes and various refreshments . In light of recent monsoon conditions it is planned to put everything under marquees although it is possible that the sun will shine.
