DARTS STAR - Isaac Weaver from Lloyney had just turned 16 and is already ranked 15th in the World Darts Federation boys’ rankings. Isaac is the best darts player in his age group in Wales and second in the UK.

Isaac started playing darts at his home, The Lloyney Inn, when he was 10. Isaac practises every day and is a member of the Montgomery and Radnorshire team. He has just finished his GCSEs at John Beddoes School in Presteigne and will be returning to the sixth form in September. During competitions Isaac has met many well known darts players and recently qualified for the Winmau World Masters men’s competition and is waiting for details of the second round. Proud parents Tom and Shirley said: “We are doing everything we can to get him to these tournaments but it is becoming increasingly difficult financially. Most tournaments are three days so include overnight stays. The only income we have is from the pub and if it wasn’t for our very popular Sunday carveries we wouldn’t have been able to support him.” Any business or individual who would like to sponsor Isaac can call 01547 528498.
