A space rocket caused a stir when it landed in Hereford city centre.
The nine-metre tall Skybolt rocket went on show outside Hereford Cathedral School last Friday as the county celebrated National Science Week.
Nearly 400 pupils from 14 different primary and secondary schools took part in a week of science-inspired events at the city centre school, from talks on evolutions to cooking with liquid nitrogen.
The Skybolt rocket was the grand finale. Manufactured by Manchester-based company Starchaser, Britain’s only commercial rocket company, the rocket is capable of flying 83 miles into space.
