Chris Dean's Syd Lawrence Orchestra - 'best big band in the land' - comes to The Courtyard
CHRIS Dean’s Syd Lawrence Orchestra returns to The Courtyard in Hereford on January 13 for another show full of great music, fun and nostalgic entertainment, a mix of big band classics from artists such as Frank Sinatra, Glen Miller and Tommy Dorsey.
The band, recently voted Best Big Band in the Land for the 11th consecutive year, was founded in the 1960s.
Under the direction of Chris Dean it features classic arrangements of the swing era combined with the fire and drive of some of today’s finest young jazz musicians, all presented with a sizzling mixture of pizzazz, excitement and comedy.
