A STUDENT with a passion for vintage fashion has won a writing contest with Vogue.

Sixteen-year-old Rosalind Jana, a student at Hereford Sixth Form College, is the 2011 winner of the magazine’s talent contest.

The competition has been running for more than 60 years and previous winners have gone on to work at the worldfamous publication.

More than 500 budding writers entered, each submitting three pieces including a personal memory, a short feature article and an opinion piece.

Rosalind’s entry impressed Vogue’s editor enough to be named outright winner.

As part of her prize, the teenager went to its London head office to meet Alexandra Shulman.

Rosalind was also offered a month of paid work experience there.
