Stoke Lacy FRIENDSHIP CLUB -The Club will meet in the Village Hall at 10.30 am next Tuesday, when the guest speaker will be giving a talk entitled ‘I live in an old people’s home’. The meeting will be followed, at 12 noon, by the second in a series of trial lunches supplied by the WRVS. This time the menu will feature roast lamb with a gateaux as dessert. The cost will be £4 per head, and everyone wishing to take part is asked to call 01885 488654 no later than today (Thursday). The club is open to everyone aged 50 year and over. New members and visitors are welcome.
BREWERY OPEN DAY - As part of Herefordshire Food Week the Wye Valley Brewery will be holding tasting sessions during the third week in August, ending with a family-friendly Open Day on Saturday August 20, from 10 am till 4pm. Cask beers will be available in the Visitor Centre, and there will be free brewery tours, tutored tastings and plenty more besides.
