TREF-Y-CLAWDD rugby first team have been promoted from the Mid-Wales League to the Swalec League Division 7.
Their first match will be away to Treharris on September 3 and their first home game on September 10 against Abersychan. All the teams they will be playing are north-east of Cardiff which will mean a lot of travelling for the Knighton players.
Simon Dodd one of the coaches said “the players and coaches are very enthusiastic and looking forward to playing against new teams”.
The team captain is John Caine and vice captain is Tom Hubbard. The coaches are Gerriant Lewis, Dave Hughes, Tom Powell and Simon Dodd.
Players old and new are welcome to come to training sessions on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 7pm at Knighton rugby pitch.
