SINGING - Community singing for fun and health starts at Bishops Frome village centre on September 2, at 7.30 pm. The emphasis will be on having a good sing and lots of laughs. The focus will be on sea shanties, recently made popular by the Cornish group Fishermens Friends' among others, and on country folk songs. You don't have to be a strong singer to participate, everyone is welcome. Just bring £2.50 to cover the costs of the hall, any surplus will go to local charities.
