Holot (Monsieur Hulot’s Holiday) (certificate PG), a 1953 film starring Jacques Tati’s Monsieur Hulot, a recurring character in several of his movies and a blithely clumsy troublemaker who leaves uproar in his wake without being aware of it. In a series of vignettes at a vacation resort, the distracted Hulot provides a lot of laughs, as directed by Tati with a perfect eye and ear for comic possibilities. This is a work that ranks among all-time classic comedies.
