A VET who lives near Hay-on-Wye has been selected as the Conservative Party’s next Welsh Assembly candidate for Brecon and Radnorshire.
Former auctioneer Chris Davies, who lives in Glasbury with wife Liz and two daughters, now runs Hay Veterinary Group and is also a regular main ring commentator at the Royal Welsh Show and a keen fundraiser for both mainstream and local organisations alike.
“Many today enter politics straight from university with little or no experience of life or business,” Mr Davies said.
“At the age of 43, I believe that I am coming to politics the traditional way with many of life’s experiences behind me.”
