WHEELIE bins are being provided to Herefordshire schools to help them do their bit for the environment.
The free bins are similar to those provided to homes across the county and can be used to recycle paper, cardboard, cartons, plastic bottles and containers, glass, tins and cans.
They are then taken to a material recovery facility which separates the materials before they are delivered to reprocessing companies.
Laura Blackwell, Herefordshire Council’s recycling officer, said: “By recycling in school, you can help protect the environment, promote recycling to the pupils and cut your waste disposal bills.”
