A plan to withdraw funding for several local bus services is being opposed by Ledbury Town Council.
Services axed as a cost-cutting measure by Herefordshire Council could include the 478 and 479 Much Marcle to Ledbury via Putley bus and the 670 and 671 buses linking Eldersfield to Ledbury via Eastnor.
The 456 Saturday service from Newent to Holme Lacy could also be axed, as could 457 Wednesday service on the same route.
Ledbury mayor Mary Cooper said: "We will write to Herefordshire and express the importance of retaining these bus services."
