THE Teme Valley point-to-point at Brampton Bryan this Saturday promises to be a real marathon, with 10 races already carded.
Entries secretary Pauline Duggan has received 247 entries for the beautiful riverside course, which is the oldest in the Welsh Border area, and the maiden race has been divided into three.
With horses from some of the most powerful stables in the surrounding area entered, competition is sure to be fittingly ferocious for a region famed for historic battles.
The first of the 10 races is scheduled for 1pm, and all will be run over an extended three miles.
