A SIX year old Leominster artist. who wanted to raise money to help feed the world's poor, auctioned one of her pictures on eBay and attracted more than 330 bids.
Rosalind Webb, a pupil at Stoke Prior Primary School, became quite famous. She found herself in the spotlight giving interviews to local radio and TV!
She was spurred into action by a Sunday evening conversation around the family dinner table about people living in poverty and famine.
Proud dad, Oliver, said: "Immediately after dinner was over, Rosalind got out all her art stuff and produced a picture with the request that we sell it on eBay and send the money to help feed and clothe the people.
"It is entirely her own work and she is as proud as Punch to be helping someone. 100% will go directly to Oxfam."
Rosalind, of The Meadows, Leominster, was concerned about the plight of earthquake survivors in mountainous Kashmir. She drew a mountain scene complete with a snowman and people receiving parcels of food and clothes.
She wrote her own plea for support to launch the online auction. Shortly before bids closed the highest bid stood at £112. Additionally, family and friends gave more than £50 to help boost the young artist's donation to Oxfam.
