A COMBINATION of poor defending and poor finishing undid Ledbury as they searched for vital league points away at Dudley on Saturday.

DUDLEY 4, LEDBURY TOWN 0

Dudley took the lead on 25 minutes with a pass that split the defence and gave McTear no chance in the Ledbury goal.

That was followed by two more quick goals, with the Ledbury defence in disarray and McTear again with no chance.

The keeper did pull off good saves to keep Ledbury in with a slight chance and they could have made it 3-3 with three glorious chances.

However, they could not finish and the half ended 3-0 to Dudley.

After the break, Ledbury had more of the play and the best chance to score when Neil Gardiner went through, only to see his shot curl wide of the post.

Dudley scored their fourth from the penalty spot after Green was adjudged to have handled.

Tomorrow (Saturday), Ledbury travel to Market Drayton in the first round of the League Cup. The coach leaves at noon.
