PUPILS at Bredenbury Primary School celebrated Chinese New Year with a performance of the famous Dragon Dance.
In a week of special activities based on the theme, pupils also tried their hand at Chinese cooking and prepared their own stir-fry. They made greetings cards for family and friends decorated with dragons and Chinese writing.
They studied the legend that explains how the animals decided which of them would have a year named after them and made masks so that they could retell the story.
For the dragon dance, the children created their own costume and performed in assembly for parents.
