THIRTY young people from across Herefordshire have had their hard work towards a greener future recognised at an awards ceremony.
Over the past six months students from across the county (Weobley High, Haywood High, St Mary's High schools and Hereford 6th Form college) have become 'Be The Change Ambassadors.'
They have been learning about the major environmental issues of our time such as recycling, global warming, renewable energy and fair trade.
The team was trained by an international group of teachers from the charity Peace Child to give presentations and workshops to other young people.
The ambassadors visited primary schools in the area and some have presented to over 100 children, to help them understand more about the environment and how what we do affects our planet.
More than 60 people turned up for the award ceremony at Shire Hall. The Green Party's Felicity Norman handed out the certificates
