Bridge Sollars-based publishing company, Orpheus, is hoping to make it third time lucky, having again been short-listed for this year's Aventis Prizes for Science Books Junior Prize.
The world's most prestigious awards for popular science writing selected Leap Through Time: Earthquake as one of the six books on the short-list, which includes a diverse range of books covering topics as broad as microscopic bugs to nurturing the earth.
It's the third time the company has been in the running for a top prize.
The junior prize is awarded to the best book written for under-14s, and children across the country will be voting in schools, libraries, science centres and science clubs.
The prizes are awarded by the Royal Society, the UK national academy of Science, supported by the Aventis Foundation.
Earthquake is one in a series of 12 books published by Orpheus, which show how a phenomenon - like earthquakes - changes over time.
The winner will be announced on May 12 at the Science Museum in London.
