The West Midlands elected candidates in the European Elections are: Philip Bushill-Matthews (Conservative); Michael Cashman (Labour); Mike Nattrass (UKIP); Liz Lynne (Liberal Democrat); Philip Bradbourn (Conservative); Neena Gill (Labour) and Malcolm Harbour (Conservative).
The number of votes cast for each party and their share of the poll was: Conservative, 392,937 (27.34%); Labour, 336,613 (23.42%); UK Independence, 251,366 (17.49%); Liberal Democrats, 197,479 (13.74); British National Party, 107, 794 (7.5%); Green, 73,991 (5.15%); Respect, 34,704 (2.41%); Pensioners, 33,501 (2.33%) and the Common Good, 8,650 (0.6%).
