THE hard work starts again for Hereford United this coming Tuesday when pre-season training starts at Edgar Street.

It will be the first chance for the Bulls' summer signings - striker David Brown and midfielder Jordan King - to meet their new team-mates, and Bulls boss Graham Turner will be hoping they can bed in quickly.

Turner is still hoping to make more signings before the new Nationwide Conference season kicks off at Tamworth on August 9, and several trialists will be coming along to pre-season training and will hope to impress and gain a contract.

But two players linked with the Bulls are unlikely to move to Edgar Street, however - Northwich Victoria midfielder Mark Devlin and Morecambe striker Wayne Curtis.

Devlin, who was the subject of rumours with potential moves to Shrewsbury and Hereford, has agreed to stay with Northwich to the delight of their manager Steve Davis, who said: "He is with us for another two years and that is brilliant, he is a key member of the team."

Curtis, who was out of contract at last season's Conference runners-up, has been offered an improved deal by ex-United midfielder and Morecambe boss Jimmy Harvey, and is expected to sign.

Harvey said: "I am confident that Wayne will sign again for us. We made him a new, improved offer which he seemed happy with."

Meanwhile, Hereford United Disabled FC have just finished their first season in the National Multi-Disabled South West Division and ending up third in the league.

With the new season just around the corner, the team is looking to increase its squad and giving more disabled people in the County the chance of playing 11-a-side football against the likes of Chelsea, Birmingham and Bristol City.
