BROMARD-based Janet McMorran, the UK number one women's wheelchair tennis player, opens her bid for a sixth British title at the National Championships in Sheffield today.
McMorran, who is ranked seventh in the World, will be looking to follow up her victory in the New Zealand Open as her preparations for this year's Paralympic Games in Sydney continue.
Twenty-year-old Matthew Faucher will also be competing in Sheffield and tomorrow will contest his first match in the Open Division of the championship after moving up from the A section.
Faucher, from Hereford, is currently ranked 197 in the World but his UK number 12 position has earned him a top qualifying place.
