Hereford Rowing Club will again host the West of England Trophy for Men's Elite Coxed Fours as part of the City Regatta this month.
Teams will compete for the William IV solid silver vase that has been offered since 1877 as a prize at a series of regattas which originally rotated around five venues including Hereford.
The main racing will be over a 1,500m course and two new events will be on display this year - the Mercedes Benz Sprints for men's and women's elite eights over 500m.
The regatta, sponsored by local firms Euro Car & Commercial Ltd and John Miles butchers, attracts crews from around Europe and is on May 29 from 9.30am-6pm.
