Hereford triathlete Adrian Beaumont will be helped in his quest for international success by a grant from the Herefordshire Sports Council's Sports Assist scheme.
Beaumont has been selected to represent Great Britain at the ITU World Long Course Championships in France this June and has to foot the entire bill of the trip himself.
Even his Great Britain jersey has to be paid for but the award of £200 will go some way to softening the blow of costs that total almost £750.
Sports Assist grants have also been made to the Herefordshire county netball and junior hockey associations for regional and national competitions.
