Kington Town suffered two narrow Banks's Brewery West Midlands Premier League home defeats over the Bank Holiday weekend, going down 1-0 to Causeway on Saturday and by the same margin to Tividale on Monday.
Championship challengers Cause-way provided stern opposition, but Kington can feel aggrieved at not sharing the points in an excellent game, with both Scott Jackson and Andy Clarke being denied by fine saves.
With time running out the visitors snatched the points with a worthy goal when a long cross to the far post was volleyed into the roof of the net.
A depleted Kington pressed player-manager Mick Panniers into service against Tividale.
Although the home side dominated much of the match, they could not finish off any of the many chances they created.
The visitors claimed their win thanks to a superb 30-yard first-half strike which gave goalkeeper Dave Alden no chance.
Scott Jackson did find the net in the last minute, but his header was ruled out for an alleged push.
