Pegasus Juniors 3 Abingdon United 0
PEGASUS cruised to a comfortable win in their penultimate Premier Division match of the season in the Complete Music Hellenic League at Edgar Street.
They were in control from the second minute when Leigh Harris headed back Terry Green's free-kick to skipper Martin Powell, who crashed home a volley from 20 yards.
Top scorer Mark Davis had no fewer than five chances to extend the lead before half-time but in the second half Pegasus finally made it two.
There was a slice of luck involved, however, as a cross from Roy Jordan deceived keeper Simon Tricker and he could only get his fingertips to the ball before it went in off the far post.
Pegasus stopper Kingsley Morris was never really tested and his side completed victory when Neil Hotchkiss' first-time cross was met at pace by Davis, who headed home.
