GARDENING CLUB - The annual meeting of Gorsley Garden Club was held in the village hall when John Brown read the previous meeting's minutes. It was decided a working party should be planned for work at the village hall, tidying up before the Millennium meeting. It was proposed the club's meetings should be changed to the second Monday of each month. This was agreed, but Mr Brown said this could, unfortunately, not be started until next year as all arrangements had been made for those who had been approached to come and give talks and lectures. It was also agreed summer trips should leave the village at 7pm as the original idea of 6.30pm was too early for some members. The meeting in November would be special with those who had been on the Dutch tulip trip being asked to bring along their photographs of the event. Chairman Chris Tormer, secretary John Brown and treasurer Sally Adams agreed to continue in office, although Mr Brown, who had held the post for six years, said he would like someone to take over after the present year.
CHURCH MEMBERS - Gorsley Chapel has welcomed new members, Beth Rendle, Carol Barnett and Paul and Alison Hewbert, during the past few weeks.
WEDDING - A large number went along to Gorsley Chapel on Easter Saturday for the marriage of two members of the chapel, Elizabeth Rendle and Timothy Goulding.
