A LEDBURY man has pleaded guilty to his part in a plot to murder a businessman from Hereford.
Patrick Morgan, 53, of Bye Street, was remanded in custody at Worcester Crown Court on Tuesday (May 2) pending pre-sentence reports.
His accomplice, Kim Fowler, 41, of Bickley Ford, Kingsland, Leominster, who admitted the same charge, was also remanded.
The charge states that they solicited a policeman using the name "George" to murder Philip Fowler between November 23 and December 12 last year. Mr Fowler is the owner of Symonds and Co, a clothing store in Widemarsh Street in Hereford.
Martin Wilson QC, for Fowler, said she had been seen by a psychiatrist whose report should be ready in a month.
Richard Wakerly QC, for Morgan, said he was a man of previous good character. The defendants will be sentenced on a date to be fixed.
