Ledbury Rugby Club are hosting the annual Bethell Trophy at the Ross Road Playing Fields on Sunday.
Teams from Ledbury, Upton, Bromyard and Tewkesbury will compete in the round robin event with the days festivities commencing at around 12.30pm, a barbecue is also planned weather permitting.
The tournament which is staged every year at one of the four host clubs was first played some six to seven years ago and has since become regular reminder to all involved of the late Trevor Bethell.
Trevor, a former President of Ledbury RFC and well-known local sporting hero was a fundamental member of Ledbury RFC and of the four club liaison committee. His drive and enthusiasm was second to none and his after dinner speeches were notorious throughout the county.
All support appreciated for what will surely be an entertaining day for both players and spectators.
