Fromes Hill gained their third win of the season but had to come from behind to do so in this Sterling Classic Malvern League game.

FROMES HILL 5, BELL INN 98 2

Fromes were again without important players and new signing Brian Barker found himself deputising in goal.

Barker had an early nightmare conceding two quick goals, the first in the third minute nodded home by Darren Cooke and the second ten minutes later by Ben Ledbury. He gradually started to settle in and Fromes managed to get into their stride. Fromes pulled a goal back ten minutes before half time, an unstoppable shot by Jim Howard and they pulled level just before the interval when Nigel Dix hit a cross-cum-shot that lopped over the keeper's head.

The second half was all Fromes right from the re-start. They pressed for goals and they eventually were rewarded when Jim Howard grabbed his second, with a neat turn in the box and a clever near post shot he put Fromes in the lead. Midfield dynamo Timmy Green added the fourth when he squeezed past two defenders and rolled the ball in. Pete Scrivens added the fifth when he knocked in a poor corner two minutes from the end.

Man of the match for Fromes was Andy Brimell and for the Bell Inn Mark Wadley.

On Sunday, Fromes Hill visit Hearts in the HFA Cup, whilst Bell Inn are away at Talbot Head in the League, a minibus leaves the Bell at 9.30a or meet Upton at 10am..
