A NEW edition of the Symonds Yat Map and Guide has been produced by the Wye Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) Office.

The map is designed to help people to find their way around easily - particularly to get between Symonds Yat West, Symonds Yat East and Yat Rock which not an easy task for visitors that are new to the area!

The map and guide, a simple fold out leaflet, is now available from tourist information centres and village shops, accommodation providers and pubs and hotels.

It includes lots of useful information for visitors including a short history of the area, details of places to eat and things to do as well as ways visitors can do their bit to help look after the area while they are there.

Liz Price, the AONB Special Projects Officer said: "This guide is invaluable for people who are visiting Symonds Yat for the first time. Everything you could need to find your way around and plan your trip is included.

"It also provides valuable information about how visitors can help to look after this unique area while they are here.

"For such a compact area, this guide is vital to ensure visitors get where they want to go first time, reducing the number of needless car miles visitors can travel trying to find their way around."
