JAILBREAK organisers Ron Davies and Grenville Smith have received their Royal rewards.
The couple went to Buckingham Palace to be presented with the MBE by Prince Charles.
The honours were given in recognition of their work in organising Herefordshire Jailbreak, which raised more than £1 million for local charities.
Ron and Grenville were presented to the Prince together.
"He said he had been following the progress of Jailbreak and that he was very pleased that we had each been given the MBE,'' said Grenville, a former Detective Constable with West Mercia Police.
"We had a super day, one we will always remember,'' said Grenville, who was accompanied to Buckingham Palace by his wife Heather and daughters Tracey and Julia.
Inspector Ron Davies was joined by his wife Christine, son Lee and daughter Emma.
