COMPLETING a hat-trick with a difference. Mel Middlecote has taken over as president of Ross-on-Wye Lions club for a third time.
He accepted the badge of office from outgoing president Jim Hamilton in front of 40 guests, including members, their wives and friends.
Sue Kinsey, who along with friends, boosted funds by raising over £8,000 by setting up a temporary charity shop was presented with a crystal vase.
Lion Cyril Sheppard was presented with an inscribed penholder for completing 25 years with the club.
