Council for Voluntary Service, Ledbury and District has changed its name to the shorter Community Voluntary Action.
The decision was taken at the body's recent AGM in St Katherine's Hall, Ledbury.
Chairman Alan Moorhouse said that instead of having a guest speaker, he would present the organisation's business plan called "Volunteering for the Community".
The document has been compiled with the help of Business Link Herefordshire and Worcestershire and sets out the organisation's aims for the next three years.
He said: "The next step for Community Action will be a public consultation to provide members of the public with the opportunity to suggest other services that are currently lacking in Ledbury that could be provided by the organisation."
Community Voluntary Action, formerly as Ledbury CVS, has operated as an "umbrella body" covering various voluntary services and activities, such as Ring and Ride.
