THE Midlands Regional Mountain Bike Championships will be taking place at Eastridge, Habberley, Nr Pontesbury this weekend (July 14 & 15).
The Eastridge course, 10 miles south of Shrewsbury, has seen more National Championships than any other course in the country and is superb.
These races form part of the Specialized Super Series for 2001, of which the following rounds were due to take place at Eastnor Park on August 18 & 19, but due to the foot and mouth epidemic these rounds will now be held at Baskerville Hall, Hay-on-Wye. The final event of the series is back at Eastridge on September 15 & 16.
