Eastnor were in a strong position in their WCL Division Two match at home against Romsley & Hunnington when the weather curtailed play.
EASTNOR v ROMSLEY & HUNNINGTON
Electing to field Eastnor started well with Shahid clean bowling opener Moore at five in the second over of the innings. Four overs later Morgan fell to the in-form Shahid at 20 before a stand of 38 between Williams (12) and Lennon (38) took the total on to 58. Shahid then struck back again claiming both batsmen in consecutive overs, and then removing Symonds at 66 to complete his five wicket haul but as the score totalled 77-5 in the 26th over the heavens opened and play was abandoned.

EASTNOR 3RD XI v HAY 2ND XI
THE first meeting of these two sides saw just six overs played as the rain came up the Wye Valley and landed in full flow on the Fownhope pitch.
Cliff Tipton opened Eastnor's attack in his usual way - an 11 ball over yielding eight runs, just two off the bat. David Jarrett's bowling was excellent, his swing and movement causing great problems.
The Eastnor breakthrough came in the third over with Martin Lane taking a brilliant one handed diving catch off Tipton. Mytton (8) and Prosser (7) slowly continued to 23-1 before the rain came.
