SKIPPER Ian Wright and striker Paul Fewings could return to Hereford United's starting line-up for tomorrow's Nationwide Conference game at Forest Green Rovers (3.00).

The pair have responded well to treatment for injuries which have kept them sidelined for several weeks.

Director of Football Graham Turner says that both of them "have a chance of being fit" for the trip to The Lawn.

But Turner has to balance that against injuries to defenders Chris Lane and Matt Clarke which have placed a doubt over their participation.

Fellow defender Paul Sturgess also misses the game through a one-game suspension.

That may restrict Turner's hopes of shaking up the side, after their 11-game unbeaten run -- and almost certainly their outside hopes of getting into the title shake-up -- came to an end with a shock 4-2 home defeat against lowly Woking in midweek.

The Bulls found a three-goal deficit inside the first half-hour too much to make up, having previously gone more than eight hours without conceding a goal.

Turner admitted: "We were a bit sloppy defensively and paid the penalty. But we came back well and the way it was going, we felt we would get something out of the game.

"We gave it a good shot and the crowd got right behind us, but in the end it wasn't to be.

"Good sides don't often lose two games in a row and we have to go to Forest Green and make sure we put it right."

United remain third in the table but now have only 10 games left in which to make up a 13-point deficit on leaders Kidderminster Harriers.

The Bulls, who beat Forest Green 1-0 at home back in September, could face a tricky task at the 17th-placed Gloucestershire side, who are fighting for their lives and have an excellent record against the leading sides -- they have beaten every team in the top five apart from Hereford.

Turner added: "They are currently having a good run and have some very experienced players."
