HEREFORD United Director of Football Graham Turner has not ruled out further expeditions into the loan signing market.

Turner signed up Shrewsbury Town goalkeeper Scott Cooksey and Bristol Rovers defender Tom White for a month in a bid to pep up his squad due to injuries and loss of form.

Both impressed in last week's 1-0 win at Hednesford Town in the Nationwide Conference -- so ending a run of seven matches without a win.

Both players bring a fair amount of Football League experience with them. Cooksey, aged 27, who made his name at Bromsgrove Rovers, made a handful of appearances for Peterborough United before moving to Shrewbury via Hednesford Town.

White, aged 24, has made over 50 appearances in the first team at Bristol Rovers.

Turner was impressed with their debut performances, saying: "They did OK, both of them.

"It was difficult circumstances, particularly for Tom who had not trained with us, turned up on the day of the game, met the players for the first time and did exceptionally well.

"Scott didn't have a lot to do but he looks the part."

The pair are Turner's first major additions to the squad since the start of the season.

Despite the money earned from the Bulls' memorable FA Cup run, their early exit from the FA Umbro Trophy means that the purse strings are pretty tight at Edgar Street.

Asked about the possibility of more loan signings coming in, Turner added: "We can only play two loan signings at any one time, but we will have to see how it goes."
