Hereford United have snapped up Wolves youngster Seamus Crowe on a month's loan.

The 20-year-old Irishman, a left-sided midfielder, is set to be involved in the Bulls' Nationwide Conference game at Leigh RMI tonight (7.45).

He will also be eligible for the first leg of their FA Umbro Trophy semi-final at Forest Green next Saturday.

Director of Football Graham Turner said: "It went through late yesterday afternoon. It is purely a month's loan at the moment."

He also missed out in a bid to take 19-year-old Wolves midfielder Shane Tudor on loan, but has signed several of United's youth team on Conference forms to prepare them for a hectic end-of-season schedule.

Meanwhile, top scorer Gavin Williams is likely to be missing again tonight.

He was forced to sit out last week's 1-0 home defeat against Dagenham and Redbridge with a calf injury, and is rated as "very doubtful" by Turner.

But midfielder Ian Rodgerson has recovered from a thigh injury and defender Paul Sturgess is fit again after illness, and Turner expects both to be ready for action.

Winger Paul Parry should keep his place after a successful return to the starting line-up last week following a long-term ankle injury.

Tonight's game is one that the Bulls desperately need to win, after two successive league defeats have dropped them to eighth in the table.

But they have yet to lose in three meetings with newly-promoted Leigh this season, including a 2-1 away victory in an FA Umbro Trophy fourth round replay last month.

Turner said: "They have all been tight games, but we played ever so well at their place in knocking them out of the Trophy.

"But they have had a terrific run since and have scored a lot of goals -- that just shows how much they have come on.

"The pitch won't be the best up there (Leigh ground-share with the town's rugby league club), but we will have to adapt to that.
