Hereford United have axed striker Leroy May for "disciplinary reasons."
United's Director of Football Graham Turner said May's contract had been cancelled after he failed to show up for pre-season training.
May rejoined Hereford from Kidderminster Harriers last summer but failed to make a great impact, other than scoring the winner in their FA Cup clash with York City.
Turner said: "He did reasonably well in one or two important games last season, but I am disappointed when the lad doesn't show some commitment to the club."
May's departure means Turner now has scope to bring in another front player, and he is running the rule over several trialists including one from Sweden.
The striker hit the headlines more for his off-the-field antics as a male stripper.
