FORMER Wolves legend Steve Bull could be joining Hereford United.

Edgar Street Director of Football Graham Turner has revealed that he has had talks with Bull about coming to Edgar Street in a coaching role.

However, he stressed that Bull would not be playing for the Bulls because of the knee injury that forces his retirement from League soccer.

Bull is Wolves' record goalscorer with most of them under Turner's management -- and also won 13 caps for England.

The United boss said: "I will be delighted if it comes off. Steve wants to get into management and we have talked about him coming in and taking some sessions with us and getting some experience with our senior players.

"He knows me well enough and I now him well enough."

Turner hoped that Bull could combine his role at Hereford with a public relations role at Wolves, but ruled out the possibility of him ever turning out for United.

He said: "There is no possible way that Steve would ever put on a Hereford United shirt. He has struggled with this knee injury and further involvement in playing would leave him in serious jeopardy of being crippled."
