UNEMPLOYMENT in Ledbury stood at 46 - 29 men and 17 women - in July, according to the latest Herefordshire Quarterly Economic Report. This was up by two on the figure for the previous month but eight down on the same time last year. In Bromyard, 43 people - 34 men and nine women - were out of work in July, four up on the previous month. Unemployment in Herefordshire as a whole was two per cent. The national average was 3.3 per cent.
