EURO MP Liz Lynne came to Hereford this week to back the campaign to save the city's Dial-a-Ride service.
The Liberal Democrat MEP, a long-standing campaigner for disabled people's rights, brought her battle bus to the city as part of a fact-finding tour.
She will be presenting a report on policies affecting the disabled and their access to work, education and leisure opportunities to the European Parliament in November.
During her visit to Hereford, Liz Lynne attended a meeting with Pat Miles of Dial-a-Ride and other community representatives about the future of the service.
She also spent some time at the Riding for the Disabled centre at Holme Lacy and popped into Hereford Cathedral for a quick look around the disabled toilet facilities.
"With my report on the European Year of Disabled People 2003 just about to come up for approval by the Parliament it is particularly important for me to be concentrating on disabled people's issues at this time," she said.
